Encourage the Administration, Teachers, and Staff to provide clear and concise information to Parents and Students at all levels, including Elementary, Middle, and High School
Support expanding the use of technology to engage Parents and all members of Fluvanna County to improve the relationship between the Schools and the Community
Advocate for a culture of awareness regarding educational, social, emotional, and behavioral health issues that may affect Students
Provide resources for early intervention services, training teachers to recognize the early warning signs of mental health issues, and offer treatment programs and services that address students' various mental health needs
Establish a framework for proper discipline and investigation in physical, mental, and online bullying cases
Encourage the School Board and Administration to research successful anti-bullying programs
As someone who supports Students with educational and physical disabilities, it's crucial to provide them and their Parents with the knowledge of their rights, personalized services, and resources to help them succeed independently
Additionally, it's just as essential to give Special Education Teachers and Staff the tools and resources they need to prepare their students to participate fully in all aspects of school life, including the general curriculum
Attend the Special Education Advisory Council meetings to hear concerns of the Parents and Teachers
Promote forward-thinking educational STEM programs to help our rural county Students prepare for college and/or job market opportunities and compete against the larger funded schools
Strive to equip our Students, Teachers, and Staff with state-of-the-art technology and programs that can help level the playing field and give them an advantage for their future.
